An extremely unusual project request was asked by this client. Please take our first floor screen porch that we hardly use and convert it to an octagonal wine storage room. The greatest challenge was refrigerating and humidifying this space year-round. The only solution was to custom build, two miniature ducted split air-handlers with ultra-quiet centrifugal fans to pull the air through the cabinetwork base grills and push the air up to the soffit linear diffusers. The next challenge was to create an elegant yet fun space from American Cherry with a custom stain and satin Duravar finish to match the homes existing cabinetwork in the adjacent Scotch Bar which was updated with new cabinetwork as well as a new cigar humidor. The center table ironwork was hand crafted by our Blacksmith and rusted to match the client’s chandelier choice. The tabletop was distressed to show age and use.
