Old Greenwich, Connecticut
This is another one of our commercial projects, in a fine dining establishment that always wins a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. The partner in charge asked my to take an old existing perimeter square cornered wine cellar dining room and to re-design it to create isolated dining areas with flowing curves. The solution was to introduce four way arched columns that would provide not only additional wine storage, but would also enclose the hidden sliding etched glass door panels. In the open position, the panels create uniquely individual dining alcoves. Additional central racking would also form natural area divisions. Ask to be seated next to the fireplace when you make a reservation, but don’t be surprised if it’s already reserved by a regular patron!
