Refrigeration Equipment:
We engineer each project by calculating the heat-loss of a specific wine cellar space based upon the actual project size and construction materials to be used. Those items, including the lighting load, body heat, position to grade, and location all play a role in determining the end result. We then apply these specifics to a comparison of our tested, available systems.

Upon determining the required equipment size, we then begin to select equipment position and/or duct work layout relative to room lighting and any other structural features. Each system is designed for optimum cooling as well as individual comfort and appearance while keeping the noise level and obtrusiveness to a minimum.

Ductless Split Refrigeration Systems are of extremely high quality and are designed for economy. They maintain a constant 55 degree temperature and a higher than ambient relative humidity throughout a wine cellar space.

Ducted Split Air-Handler Refrigeration Systems are the finest refrigeration choice available. These superior units maintain a constant temperature of 55 degrees and a relative humidity between 60% and 80%.

Please note that all of our refrigeration systems are alarmed and can be connected to the home alarm system.

Duct Work:
We specify that each ducted system use only the heaviest gauge galvanized steel, which is typically lined with a minimum of 1" of interior insulation. All duct work is thoroughly sealed with duct sealer to prevent air leakage, which may compromise the entire system.

Diffusers:
Diffuser choice is always relative to position and airflow direction. Each project is analyzed based on airflow needs.

Glazing:
All glazing used in our projects is tempered and is always insulated. All aluminum spacers are specified with a black or brown finish whenever possible to minimize any glare from the lighting above. Beveled glass is available at the client's discretion.
